The UNAVELD multilayer PEX-AL-PEX pipe is ideal for plumbing and heating.
It consists of 2 cross-linked polyethylene layers with a middle layer of aluminum according to standard UNE 53961:2002 EXand has a certificate of AENOR.
The aluminum inside the pipe is welded at the ends with laser. This is the strongest point of the aluminum layer and improves the strength of the pipe both in internal pressure and the pressure created when the tubes are bent during installation.
It has over 50 years of lifetime endurance while it shows resistance to temperature in 95°C and pressure 10bar periodic function with a maximum at 110°C.
Available in white color profiles from 16x2 to 32x3 (with or without coil protection).
• Linear expansion coefficient: 2,3x10-5 (K-1)
• Thermal conductivity: R = 0,004 m² K/W
• Density: 1,47 gr/cm ³
• Lifetime: 50 years
• Operational pressure and temperature: 10 bar at 95°C
• 18,6 bar at 20°C with a maximum periodic temperature at 110°C
A particular interest is shown on the UNAVELD PEX-AL-PEX SOLAR multilayer pipes, since their black outside colour is regarded as the most appropriate choice for solar systems due to increased resistance to ultraviolet radiation.
